Student Associations Collaboration Program
The Make Accounting Great Again Student Associations Collaboration Program connects accounting and business students and student associations across universities and colleges, creating a platform to collaborate across campuses, build professional networks, connect with industry and create career opportunities.
Primarily delivered through digital engagement and social media, the Program gives students the opportunity to share ideas and content, learn from one another and connect with accounting firms, professional bodies and other industry leaders locally and globally.
We don’t provide financial or direct assistance to individual associations. With thousands of student associations across Canada and the US alone, our focus is on delivering support that can benefit associations on a much broader scale.
We provide practical resources, content sharing and access to our growing professional network and online platform. This approach enables us to support associations globally, encourage greater collaboration across universities and campuses, and help more students discover the exciting career opportunities available in accounting.
A Stronger Student Voice
Students should have a meaningful voice in shaping the future of the accounting profession.
The Program provides a platform for students and student associations to bring their perspectives directly to the profession including what they expect from future employers, what attracts or discourages them from accounting careers, and their views on AI, technology, workplace culture, flexibility, salaries and career progression.
Students can contribute to industry discussions, forums and panels, challenge outdated perceptions of accounting and help shape how the profession engages with the next generation.
Importantly, students don’t need to represent an association to contribute.
Students are not simply the profession’s future recruits, they are its future leaders.
How Students and Associations Can Get Involved
The Program offers four flexible ways for students and associations to get involved, make an impact and help shape the future of the accounting profession:
- Social Media & Content Collaboration – Bring accounting careers to life through student stories, videos, creative content and fresh ideas that we can share across our networks.
- Student Ambassador Program – Become a voice for the next generation, champion accounting careers and inspire fellow students to get involved.
- Cross-Campus Collaboration – Build connections with student associations across Australia and internationally, exchange ideas and collaborate on initiatives that extend beyond individual campuses.
- Campus & Student Outreach – Build on existing campus initiatives to raise the profile of accounting careers, strengthen industry connections and expand career opportunities for students.
There is no membership, formal application or minimum commitment. Students and associations can participate in the activities that suit their interests, studies and existing programs.
Participating student associations will be featured on our website, with links to their own websites, helping build a global network that connects students and associations across universities, encourages collaboration and creates opportunities to share ideas and initiatives.
As the Program grows, we plan to introduce a dedicated Expression of Interest page where associations can formally register, showcase their involvement and strengthen connections with other associations locally, nationally and internationally.

Student Resources
We’ve developed a growing library of practical, ready-to-use resources to make it easier for student associations to get involved, engage their members and promote the opportunities available across the accounting profession.
Resources include social media and myth-busting content, career and student spotlight templates, event and webinar guides, discussion topics, student surveys, career pathway information, ambassador resources and collaboration ideas.
Everything is designed to be easy to use, adapt and share across different universities and countries.
We also encourage student associations to contribute their own ideas and resources. By sharing what works, we can build a global resource library created with students, for students.
