Collaboration With University Accounting And Business Student Associations

While Make Accounting Great Again is a global initiative, we are based in Australia. As a result, our collaboration with international student associations focuses on initiatives that can be delivered remotely and scaled across multiple university campuses.

Student accounting and business associations play a vital role in connecting students, developing professional skills, and fostering strong links between education and industry, helping to shape the future of the profession.

Make Accounting Great Again provides a unique platform to make the accounting profession more appealing, accessible, and relevant to students from all backgrounds. By combining our growing platform and international reach with student associations in other countries, we can build a stronger global movement to inspire the next generation of accountants.

Student associations can contribute to the success of this initiative in many ways including:

✅ Producing online and multimedia content to showcase your campus through videos, blogs, or podcasts, such as:

  • Accounting career spotlight series – short weekly posts or reels featuring students, alumni, and professionals explaining why they chose accounting and what they do day-to-day.
  • “Day in the life” content campaigns – coordinating students to document a typical day in accounting-related internships, part-time roles, or study routines to help bring the profession to life and showcase its real-world impact and diversity.
  • Virtual cross-campus collaborations – hosting joint online events with student associations from other universities or countries to discuss accounting trends, study experiences, and career pathways.
  • Accounting myth-busting campaigns – create events that directly challenge common misconceptions about accounting (e.g., “it’s boring,” “just numbers,” “no creativity”).

Share your content on social media, tag the campaign page, and use #MakeAccountingGreatAgain so we can amplify it across our extensive networks.

✅ Sharing campaign messaging and website resources during campus activities and high school outreach initiatives to promote accounting as a global profession with diverse international career opportunities.

✅ Promoting the campaign through university newsletters, email lists, and official student association communication channels to reach a wider student audience.

✅ Appointing student ambassadors to empower accounting students to share their experiences and advocate for the profession on campus using our platform.

✅ Creating student-led research or survey initiatives that explore perceptions of accounting and help identify ways to further improve the profession’s appeal among young people.

A Quick Note

This campaign is not affiliated with any political movement or organisation.

It is focused purely on elevating the accounting profession, supporting students, and recognising the important role accountants play in business and society.
